We were immensely proud to carry out both the internal and external redecoration of the Port of Liverpool Building – one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks and an architectural jewel within Liverpool’s world-famous Three Graces.
This prestigious project demanded the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail, given the building’s Grade II listed status and its intricate historical features. Our team worked with great care and respect for the original materials and finishes, preserving the building’s heritage while breathing new life into its stunning interiors and exterior façades.
The external redecoration included careful surface preparation and the use of specialist paints appropriate for the sandstone structure, helping to enhance both its appearance and longevity against the harsh riverside environment.
Internally, the building’s grandeur was matched by our meticulous approach – refinishing ornate ceilings, woodwork, and decorative detailing throughout its majestic hallways, staircases, and office spaces. All work was completed while the building remained partially occupied, requiring sensitive scheduling and coordination to ensure minimal disruption to tenants and visitors.
The Port of Liverpool Building is not only a significant part of the city’s skyline but also a part of its rich maritime history, and we are honoured to have played a part in its continued preservation and presentation for future generations.
